Wole Omosuyi

Wole Omosuyi is a Senior Partner of Setivel Counter-Fraud Services, and leads the audit risk analytics and investigation arms of the firm. He brings to the table a combination of unique skills and competencies developed through a lengthy and rewarding career at the Central Bank of Nigeria, spanning over 20 years. He was the Team Lead and Lead Investigator in the Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU) of the Bank, where he led the Unit to accomplish resounding successes in critical assignments with significant impacts in the Nigerian Financial System. Mr. Omosuyi bagged his first and second degrees in Accounting and Finance, from University of Ilorin and University of Lagos, respectively. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, as well as an Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist, licensed by the Counter Fraud Professional Accredited Board, United Kingdom.

He is also a Fellow of the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals and an alumnus of International Housing Finance Program at Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, United States. Before joining EIU, he was a prize winning CBN certified Bank Examiner with specific value adding responsibilities like special examination and investigation of banks and more than 300 other financial institutions, as well as coordination of reforms and innovations in the mortgage banking/housing finance subsector in Nigeria between 2004 and 2018.  In 2020, while in EIU, he and his team, in conjunction with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, undertook the investigation that led to the release and eventual acquittal of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FGN) from the Process and Industrial Development Limited (P& ID) saga, thereby saving the FGN and Nigerians a humongous sum of $11 billion dollars. His team was able to prove the case of fraud and bribery of Nigerian officials against P&ID through hectic financial analysis of fund flows, which was the only condition for hearing of the case in the first instance.

Wole Omosuyi is a proponent of participative leadership style with emphasis on performance. A courageous and empathetic leader, Wole has over twenty-five years’ post-graduation experience in financial control, operations, compliance, risk management, audit and investigation in both private and public sector, out of which fifteen years was at several leadership levels. 

Mr. Omosuyi also had stints as the Administrator, Governors’ Department and Head of Currency, Ibadan Branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria. He is currently the Chairman of Tripleola Investment Limited, and sits as an independent non-executive director on the board of several companies such as Coop Mortgage Bank Limited, Kolomoni Microfinance Bank Limited and Ercas Integrated Solutions Limited, a fintech company.

Wole is the Founder of Simeon Oladero Memorial Foundation, an NGO with the object of supporting brilliant indigent students through tertiary education.
